Name of Creation: Lost in Time

The world we live in today is traveling at a speed like never before. Writing our life’s story, we work long hours, multiple jobs and multitask, just to keep the bills at bay. Juggling our schedules creating time for family and friends, only to find ourselves getting caught up in petty quarrels and disagreements.

Our road to happiness, with its compass clearly pointing the way, seems further and further out of reach as we continue our journey. Time a blur while we soldier on though.

Then, one day, you lose someone very close to your heart. Time, abruptly, ceased to exist. Not only for those who left, but also for those left behind. With their body at rest, their journey ahead a new beginning, yours seems to have come to a dead end. Plunged in darkness of the universe. Lost in time.

While days seem grey, you slowly attempt to pick up the pieces where you left off. Only to find the pieces no longer fit. Guided by your lost love, your heart leads you to the artistic world. An impossible future, so you always told yourself. But,consumed by grief, you decide to follow.

As you paint each hopeful small face, their smiles, a response to the mirror you give them, allows you to forget momentarily the sorrows you carry. The rainbows you draw for them, start to replace the clouds within your heart. And where you were lost in time before, you now found yourself back, a better self. As no longer do you allow time to flow through your fingers like water. Instead, you now catch every drop, not wasting asingle second. You found your road to happiness.

Time travels for everyone. A seeming unstoppable clock. Yet how we travel and how fast it goes is up to us. We control time, time does not control us.  And when we see someone else lost in time, reach out and plant their feet stability onto the road of happiness as well and so we create a better society for all.
